25 Sleeps

Do you remember as a child counting the number of sleeps until a super exciting event –e.g. Christmas.  Sometimes if we were very lucky we would get an advent calendar to help us count down and keep the excitement level nice and high.

Well I have just phoned and booked our appointment with Dr S for Friday 18^th June.  The plan is that DefTTC will go for his repeat SA on the Thursday before and we will see the doc for his advice the next day.

I am excited and nervous and get butterflies in my tummy every time I think about it.  But mostly I simply can’t wait.  It took me a couple of weeks for this to really sink in that we are actually Trying To Conceive!  And now we have a plan to get a plan on how to go from trying to getting it right.

Years ago my BFF gave DefTTC and I an advent calendar one year for Christmas.   She has some German heritage and their idea of an Advent Calendar is so much better than a cardboard box with chocolates behind each door.  She literally bought us or made us 24 presents for each of the 24 days leading up to Christmas.  Each day we would get to open another pressie!  It made for one of the best leads up to Christmas ever.  Now I know it’s not Christmas, but who knows we could possibly be getting a pretty awesome pressie at the end of this, not in 25 days I know, but ignore the details.  I want to count down with an Advent Calendar of my own.

I have some pretty cool stuff coming up in the coming weeks and so I will use each of these as a key item in my countdown calendar.  If you have any cool ideas I can fill up my countdown with, please share them, I want something awesome for every day.
