Fert Report

When we left the clinic on Friday I told the nurse that she was only allowed to phone me with good news of our fertilisation  report, so she asked whether that mean that if there wasn;t good news she should just not call!  Obviously not.

Anyway yesterday the call came in and she started with, “you told me to call with good news and I am doing just that”.  Of our 4 eggs only two were mature, but both had fertilised.  The other two eggs were apparently still maturing and they planned to ICSI them later.

At todays update she started by saying there is no change.  Now to anyone who had a previous cycle cancelled because the one and only embie we had failed to divide, this is NOT the thing to say, especially when it turns out there is plenty of change!  Our two embies are doing great, both grade 4, one at 4 cells and one at 3 cells!  The other two eggs are showing no progress, but that’s fine, we have two beautiful embies who will be coming home tomorrow.

Transfer tomorrow morning.  Can’t wait to have the little ones back on board the ‘mothership’.
