4 Eggs = 4 Embies

Whoo Hoo, I am so over the moon today.  There have been days during the last couple of weeks where I really wondered how I was going to find excitement for this cycle, but each hurdle leaves us with a better picture than we have ahd on any previous cycle and that is pretty amazing and exciting.

So yup, the nurse phoned the moring to let us know that we had 100% fert report and that our 4 eggs were now 4 embryos!  We have never had 4 embryos before!

Yesterday I asked Dr S if we could just put all four back if they all fertilised and he said yes, but Chris wasn;t so sure and now that the drugs have worn off I think he is probably right.  So we are taking this one day at a time and will see what our update tomorrow brings.  For now we have 4 embabies and I am thrilled!

Aw, that it is wonderful news!!

  2. Good Luck! I’m sure with such good embryos you will have good results! Your blogging is a big help to many out there who are in a similar situation with MFI. I wish you and your husband the best! BTW, my wife & I tried for twelve years as well before going to IVF & doing ICSI…she had all four embryos put back in (she was 38 yo) and we got one wonderful baby as a result 🙂 I hope that the same happens for you! Absolutely awesome!

A word of advise – see how the embies go and if you feel like u can take a chance think about putting them all back, I know it seems risky but sometimes risks like that pay off… we’ve put as many as 5 embies back with no luck and our last one that did work we put back all 3 that we had… just remember never put back more than you’re willing to carry.

Thinking of you and hoping and praying.
